Feed People by Donna Rollyson (Book 1 in her Dream
Believe Follow Series) captures her receiving a direct command from God to go
and “Feed People.” Upon hearing this command to “Feed People,” the author
writes about the journey that led to the abundance of God. She writes with
concise details of life-changing events, as the Lord led them each step of the
way through some amazingly accurate dreams. The author connects-the-dots
revealing the faithfulness and love of God in the midst of a transition into one’s
calling.
Stepping out in
faith and with an obedient heart, grit, and determination encompass this true
story, as the author reveals that God can do the impossible. Receiving a word
and a dream from God, the Rollyson’s, began a journey of faith as they were called
to simply “feed people.” A series of events quickly unfolded and Donna alongside
her husband, Ed, found themselves heading back to West Virginia. Eventually selling
their home in Savannah, Georgia, the couple takes on big risks and jobs that come
to fruition in the purchase and renovation of an old church shown to Donna in a
dream. What a transformation this couple has gone through in hearing the calling
of the Lord and following it step-by-step as they trusted in Jesus!
Feed People is such
a wonderful testament to the goodness of God! This book reveals the restoration
found in finding purpose in one’s calling and reveals her experience as to how to
hear from God. Her life motto could be, “Hear from God and be willing and
obedient to what the Lord speaks.” This requires one to stand in faith and not
lose hope.
This is also a true
testament of faith and being made new in Christ, revealing the handiwork of
God. Still one must choose the straight path in following God. Sprinkling her
book with scriptures certainly exemplifies her points, readers will find renewed
hope and faith in the new life God has for them when they obey.
A highly
recommended read for anyone! This book also serves as a reminder to the body of
Christ that feeding people and helping the poor is a command from the Lord.
