The Christian Power of Attorney

John 15:8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.   God will not allow His power to be used through a carnal Christian.

Some Christians have two sides to their nature. The one side is seen at church or among the people from church, whereas the other side is seen at the workplace. These Christians will not bear any fruit. There must be self-discipline, and your lives must line up with what the Bible teaches. Jesus has given you Power of Attorney, and in acting on His behalf, you have to conduct yourself as He would conduct Himself. You may be tempted to “tell a person off,” but what would Jesus do?

You may want to “pay a person back,” or have mean thoughts about a person, but what would Jesus do? Isaiah 53 shows how Jesus was mistreated, but did not retaliate. As you trust Jesus, He will give you power to live up to these standards.
